Homero Gil de Zúñiga

Ph.D. in Politics at Universidad Europea de Madrid and Ph.D. in Mass Communication at University of Wisconsin – Madison, serves or has served as an Associate Professor at University of Texas – Austin, Research Fellow at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research – University of Amsterdam; Universidad Diego Portales, Chile; at the Center for Information Technology Policy at Princeton University; and at the Nieman Journalism Lab at Harvard University. He currently holds the Medienwandel Professorship at University of Vienna, where he directs the Media Innovation Lab (MiLab). His research addresses the influence of new technologies and digital media over people’s daily lives, as well as the effect of such use on the overall democratic process.
